Privacy policy

Community Shields is a civic unity project, now forming in Wisconsin, run by NextGen AI LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what happens to the information you share through the interest form on communityshields.com. We have kept it short and plain on purpose.
What we collect
We collect only what you type into the form:
- Your name and email address
- Your town or community
- Your role (for example, resident, business owner, or responder)
- An optional note about what your town needs
- Your permission for us to contact you
Please leave out sensitive information such as health details, information about other people, or details about public-safety operations.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to you, follow up about Community Shields in your community, and understand which towns and needs to focus on first. We may share overall, anonymous totals, such as the number of towns that have expressed interest, but we will not publish your name, email, or note.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising. If Community Shields later works with a local department, town, or organization, we will ask you before passing your contact details to them.
Services that help run the site
- Formspree receives form submissions, screens them for spam, stores them, and forwards them to our inbox. See Formspree's privacy policy.
- GitHub Pages hosts the website and, like most web hosts, may log technical details such as your IP address for security.
- Google Fonts supplies the site's typefaces, so your browser contacts Google when the page loads.
We do not use advertising trackers, analytics tools, or tracking cookies. Your light or dark display choice is saved only in your own browser.
How long we keep it
We keep your inquiry only as long as we need it to follow up about Community Shields. If we haven't been in touch for 24 months, we will delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information you sent, or to stop contacting you. Just email us, and we will act on your request within 30 days. Any updates we email you will also include a way to opt out.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date. If a change affects how we use information you've already sent, we will tell you by email first.
